Livingston Hearts CFC

Under-10s

Club Profile

Livingston Hearts Community Football Club is based in Dedridge, Livingston, and was formed in 1996. The club operates teams through various age levels up to under-17 and incorporates a soccer school for children aged 4-7.

The 2000 team is for children born on or after 1 January 2000. We play matches on Saturday mornings in the West Lothian Soccer Sevens League. Many of our players progressed from the Livingston Hearts soccer school to form an impressive seven-a-side team. Some have been with the club since the age of four, training with the nursery group and then sampling soccer fours in season 2007-08.

Our current squad includes two boys born in 2001 who have handled themselves impeccably against players a year older. The move into seven-a-side football has been virtually seamless, a real credit to the boys who have performed magnificently since they began playing organised football in season 2008-09.

Our home games take place at Bankton East development pitches in Murieston, Livingston, an excellent venue containing four well preened grass parks which are all conducive to attractive passing football. The pitches can be found here: Bankton

Training sessions are held on Monday nights from 6pm to 8pm on the all-weather astroturf pitch at James Young High School in Dedridge, Livingston.
Directions to the training ground can be found here: James Young Astroturf

The aim of our club is to promote fun and success whilst developing the skills of young players regardless of ability. Our training exercises are in line with the SFA's Early Touches programme.

In November 2009, Livingston Hearts achieved the Scottish Football Association's Quality Mark Award for its contribution to the local community.

This was secured after the club met a series of criteria in areas such as coach and player development, management, welfare and planning and administration.

Pictured receiving the award are chairman Mick Gillespie, secretary Robert Bickett and child protection office Pauline Cutkelvin.
